Nicolas Manenti (* Albertville/F, 1980)
studied at the ecole nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon in which he graduated in 2004. He lives and works in Berlin/D since 2005.
Manenti constantly tries to find escape in absurdity and paradoxical behaviour through repetitive, restraining tasks or compulsive and maniacal acts. He confronts elements of reality with their own image, thus creating a plot of uncontrolled nonsense in domesticated spaces that highlights the permanent anxiety behind their secure appearances.
